In general places with an air humidity of less than 75%, Class I or Class II handheld electric tools can be selected, and the connection points between the metal shell and the PE line should not be less than 2; Except for Class II tools with plastic casing, the rated leakage current of the leakage protector in the relevant switch box should not exceed 15mA, and the rated leakage action time should not exceed 0.1s. The load line plug should have dedicated protective contacts. The structure of the socket and plug used should be consistent to avoid mixing conductive and protective contacts.

Class II or Class III tools powered by isolation transformer shall be selected for operation in wet places or on metal frames. When using Class II handheld electric tools with metal shells, there should be no less than 2 connection points between the metal shell and the PE line. The rated leakage current of the leakage protector in the relevant switch box should not exceed 15mA, and the rated leakage action time should not exceed 0.1s. The load line plug should have a dedicated protective contact, and the socket and plug used should be structurally consistent to avoid mixing conductive and protective contacts; The switch box and control box should be located outside the workplace. It is strictly prohibited to use Class I handheld electric tools in damp places or on metal racks.

In narrow places (such as boilers, metal containers, metal pipes, etc.), Class III hand-held electric tools powered by isolation transformer must be selected. Their switch boxes and isolation transformer should be set outside the narrow places and connected with PE lines. Leakage protectors should be splash proof products, with a rated leakage action current of no more than 15mA and a rated leakage action time of no more than 0.1s. During the operation, there should be someone outside to monitor.
